BC Spirits "Spirit a Day" #104 - Merridale Cowichan Gin

DISTILLERY NOTES

Made from 3 year old neutral spirits made entirely from merridale cider, aged in stainless steel until smooth. It features more than 30 wild and native botanicals foraged from the Cowichan Valley. From local deciduous and coniferous trees, along with ground cover herbs and roots, to locally sourced berries, this is truly a terroir gin.

BC SPIRITS NOTES

Fantastic fruit based gin from Merridale Distillery. The fruit based spirit at 47% is intense, aromatic and of course fruity; that’s balanced with some intense and bold heavy spice notes such as juniper and locally foraged ingredients. Hit this up with some Fever-Tree Mediterranean Tonic.

Alcohol - 47% / 94 proof

Color - Clear

Nose - Balanced classic woody juniper with big hint of fruit spirit, aromatic and sweet

Taste - Fruity spirit base, aromatic apple and pears and then following through complex woody, earthy botanicals

Finish - Long fruit forward with background of botanicals, little hot on the back of the tongue.

Best Enjoyed - G&T with Fever-Tree Mediterranean Tonic
